The combination of classic Bordeaux varietals and the very palpable aromas of limestone and clay give this wine a real ‘Right Bank’ feel to the nose. Black cherry mix with dried cherry aromas and a light green hint of raspberry leaf work in concert so nicely with a wisp of dried fig and vanilla wafer that the French oak add to it. This palate picks up all of these flavours with a balanced roundness. Cherry compote and glossy ripe blackberries push on through to a clean, mineral finish.
The 2018 vintage was a featured wine in February 2024's Wine Club package.

Appearance: Semi-opaque. Ruby-garnet colour.
Nose: A nose of raspberry, blueberry, licorice, menthol, and cigar box.
Palate: Medium acid, medium tannin, and medium body. Nicely structured with savoury elements of green pepper, green herbs, black tea, and a hint of pepper spice.
Quality: 90 points – Wine Club Canada. Outstanding.
Food Pairing: Barbecued hamburgers with lemon aioli, smoked venison, grilled sunchokes with honey-fermented pomegranate seeds, spiced tuna with saffron, and French lentil salad with goat cheese.
