The grapes were sourced from select Niagara Peninsula vineyards and the viticultural practices included vertical shoot thinning, cluster thinning, and hand leaf removal.
Winemaker’s Comments: The 2021 vintage was humid and cool, producing wines of elegance and freshness. Aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, this wine pours a brilliant medium blue and ruby colour. The nose exudes enticing aromas of cranberry, blackberry, game meat and oak spices. The palate is expressive, fruity, and bright, revealing notes of berry, cranberry, game meat and spices. It is a medium-bodied and juicy Gamay showing great overall balance.
Drinking well now, or cellar until 2025.
Food Pairings: Try this wonderful Gamay Noir with charcuterie board, lamb sausage, flat bread with cherry tomato and feta, pork carnitas, etc.
