Sauvignon Blanc

Back by popular demand is the Grower’s Blend Sauvignon Blanc made from grapes selected from neighbouring vineyards. This is a very expressive wine that that gives off notes of papaya, pineapple, wet stone and hints of gooseberry that one expects from Sauvignon Blanc. Mouth-watering acidity is noticed first but is perfectly balanced by fruit flavours of tart pineapple, Meyer lemon and tropical fruits. The finish is crisp, clean and satisfying.

Food Pairings: Sauvignon Blanc with its higher acidity and aromatic qualities is a dream to pair with food. Try this delicious wine with a goat cheese tart, asparagus quiche or a tuna sushi roll. Also keep in mind that a wine as beautifully balanced as this one does not need food to be enjoyed properly.

Appearance: Bright. Pale straw colour.
Nose: Vibrant bouquet of gooseberry, stone fruit, green apple, and lemon.
Palate: Medium acid, medium-bodied. Tantalizing notes of peach, nectarine, tangerine, pear, and hints of lemon-lime. Well balanced with a long finish.
Quality: 90 points – Wine Club Canada. Outstanding.

Food Pairing: Creamy goat cheese with an ash-aged rind and crostini, alfredo linguini with peas, grilled tilapia with lemon and dill, Thai green mango and papaya salad, and turmeric-baked chicken on a bed of wild rice.
