Grüner Veltliner, produced exclusively from grapes grown at BC's only biodynamically certified vineyard. The vines were planted in 2013 at the Summerhill Estate by Ari Cipes. Grüner Veltliner is incredibly rare within BC, and on a global scale is primarily grown in Austria, making this an extra-special treat.
Harvested October 6, 2017 and fermented on the skins with ambient farm yeasts over 15 days. Produced biodynamically with Demeter certified fruit.

Appearance: Golden straw colour.
Nose: Green pepper and citrus nose.
Palate: Medium-bodied, nectarine and citrus fruit flavours with white pepper notes and a tannic, bitter almond lift on the finish. A great food wine and an original take of Austria's signature grape.
Quality: Outstanding. Drink now through 2020.
Food Pairing: Smoked salmon with lemon and dill, Chinese pork dumplings, fish and chips, squash and spinach pasta with pecans, Louisiana fried chicken, Vietnamese summer rolls with peanut sauce.
