Lailey Winery
The roots of Lailey date back to the 1970's and the trailblazing and passionate grape growing of the Lailey family. Now, from grape growing to winemaking, our focus always has been and always will be quality. Led by the exceptional winemaking and viticulture talents of Ann Sperling and Peter Gamble, we have made it our mission to lead the way in sustainable winemaking efforts in the Niagara Region while continuing to craft high integrity, one-of-a-kind, VQA certified wine.
Our attention to detail, our purpose, and our passion can be tasted in each wine we create; each flavour is bursting with distinct, delicious authenticity.
Our pride in our farming heritage is at the root of our vision, to continue to grow — becoming better and smarter about everything we do here. We truly believe Lailey Winery is a vineyard of the future, as much as it is one of the past.
Also a part of our future is our Stonebridge vineyard in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Cropped to under two tonnes per acre, this entirely wild ferment wine portfolio features some of the most impressive wines made in Ontario.

The story behind Lailey
Lailey sits on the Niagara River Parkway in Niagara-on-the-Lake, on land the Lailey family first planted with vines in the early 1970s. For years they grew grapes for other wineries before opening their own label in 2000, and Lailey soon built a reputation as one of Ontario's respected early producers of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The property changed hands in 2015 and went through a quieter chapter focused on icewine and bus tours. In 2021 it was bought by Faik Turkmen, who merged in his Stonebridge vineyard and returned Lailey to small-batch, single-vineyard wine.
Old vines, small lots
Two Niagara-on-the-Lake vineyards feed the winery, including some of the region's oldest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay plantings, going back to the early 1970s. The current wines are made in small, single-vineyard lots.
Winemaking today is led by the respected team of Ann Sperling and Peter Gamble. The range covers Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, and icewine, all VQA. The estate's Stonebridge 2019 Chardonnay Reserve took a gold medal at the Chardonnay du Monde competition in Burgundy.
