Description from the Producer
VQA Ontario | 12.2% alc./vol. | 750ml
The Field Blend is a combination of Chardonnay (approximately 50%), Pinot Noir (approximately 40%) with the small remainder being made up with Muscat and Sauvignon Blanc. The volumes are approximate because the nature of field blends is that they are harvested, pressed and fermented together.
When our winemakers Ann Sperling and Peter Gamble were surveying the Lailey vineyard during the 2022 harvest, they decided an intriguing "field blend" was the way to go for such a small yield of these varietals.
"It's a fruit bomb on the nose with layers of apples, apricots, peaches, nectarine, and subtle ginger notes. It has a rounded, creamy texture on the palate, a touch of RS (only 4g/l) and overflowing with ripe orchard fruits, apricot tart, ginger, honeydew melon, elderflower, and plenty of zip on the juicy finish." 90 Points - Rick VanSickle
