Description from the Producer
Tasting Notes: Great red colour, lots of red fruit with hint of spice. The palate continues the red fruit and adds some darker fruit licorice flavours as well. There is a creaminess on the mid-palate and a smooth dry finish.
Pairing Suggestions: Duck confit with cherry compote, barbequed burgers or vegetable kebabs.
Description/Winemakers Notes: Quickly becoming one of Niagara’s most grown grapes, Gamay does well in our climate and soil, and turned out to be a great addition to our portfolio in 2022. The wine was fermented in stainless steel on skins for 3 weeks, and pressed off into neutral oak barrels, both 228 and 500 L.
