TASTING NOTES: Playful, fragrant and refreshingly light, Muscat Bubble 2025 is our Niagara-grown interpretation of the classic Moscato d'Asti style. Delicate bubbles carry enticing aromas of orange blossom, peach, apricot and fresh grapes, with hints of citrus zest and honeysuckle.
The palate is bright and lively, offering juicy flavours of ripe peach, mandarin orange and sweet citrus balanced by refreshing acidity and a gentle sparkle. With alcohol just under 9%, this is an easy-drinking wine that delivers plenty of flavour while remaining light on its feet. The finish is clean, fresh and pleasantly aromatic, leaving lingering notes of stone fruit and floral perfume. Crafted from Muscat grapes grown in the Niagara Peninsula, Muscat Bubble is a fun and approachable sparkling wine perfect for celebrations, patios, brunches, fresh fruit and light desserts.
WINEMAKER’S NOTES: The winter was warmer than normal with only one significant winter storm in mid January. The summer was very warm with above average temperatures and timely rains throughout the summer gave us a wonderful growing season. Harvest began earlier than normal.
The grapes for this wine were harvested in early September, crushed and destemmed before pressing. A cool ferment keeping the intense aromas and flavours vibrant in the wine. After fermentation was complete the wine was fined and filtered before transfer to a closed tank and a second fermentation is initiated by adding sugar and yeast. The CO2 that is produced during this ferment is trapped in the wine giving a fine, creamy bubble in the glass.
The wine is filtered before bottling. Some rain in mid September did give some concerns for the early ripening white grape varieties but in general a great harvest with intense flavours and potential for some great wines.
