Description from the Producer
If you're not familiar with Small Lot Gamay, trust us: it is versatile and crowd-pleasing, the kind of wine you'll always be glad to have on hand. Wednesday-night order-in pizza? Perfect. Weekend dinner with family al fresco? Absolutely. The well-earned glass at the end of a long day? That too.
Winemaker's Notes: The perfumed aroma is bursting with juicy red fruits — cherry, strawberry compote and mulberry — with intriguing hints of burnished cedar and teak. Fruity and refined, a taste brings raspberry, cherry and pomegranate, with a dash of black pepper teasing the palate with warm, lingering spice.
Dry: 0.5 g/L residual sugar. Vegan friendly. Enjoy now through 2028.
Tasting notes by Tony Aspler
Appearance: Bright ruby. Nose: Spicy cherry with a suggestion of oak. Palate: Medium-bodied and dry, with candied cherry flavours and balancing acidity. Firmly structured, with a fresh, savoury finish.
Serve: 14–16 °C, slightly chilled. Drinking window: drink now.
Pairing: Herb-roasted chicken with garlic and thyme; warm mushroom and thyme tart with caramelized onions; Brie with sour cherry preserves; Provençal ratatouille; cherry and almond clafoutis.
