Appearance: Semi-opaque. Light ruby red colour.
Nose: Earthy, brambly blackberry, black cherry, baking spice, hint of pepper spice.
Palate: Medium acid, medium– tannin, light- to medium-body. Sour cherry, blackberry, dark raspberry, a savoury green herbal note with a touch of white pepper, and dark chocolate on the finish.
Quality: 89 points – Wine Club Canada. Very Good+. Well balanced, easy sipper.
Food Pairing: Smoked sausage and potato skillet, tofu and spinach cannelloni, molasses and soy glazed salmon, red potato goulash, and parmesan-crusted pork chops.
