Roussanne, 2018
Shipped and sold by Tender Hope Winery
Tasting Note: A refreshing, round wine with notes of honeycomb, grapefruit, pear and lychee.
Recommended drinking: 2019-2024
The grapes for this wine were hand selected from individual blocks of Sagemoor and Lawrence Vineyards in the Columbia valley. The grapes were pressed whole cluster into 4 year old French oak barrels and fermented slowly in the barrels. The wine was aged on the lees in the barrels for 7 months, with stirring of the lees (Bâtonnage) performed once a week in order to extract and integrate all the flavors in the wine, then racked off the lees and crafted into a unique wine that is an expression of the land it came from.
The 2018 vintage was featured in April 2023's wine club package.
