Description from the Producer
This wine is built for the long-haul. Initially quiet on the nose, when opened up, the bouquet is wonderfully complex with layers of florality and red fruit wrapped up in an enthralling ‘Pinot Perfume’. Notes of raspberry, violets, thyme, and cherry blossom.
The nose of our Pinot Noir Reserve continues onto the mid-palate and rounds out with rich cherry and currant. A beautiful acidity is present throughout this wine with lingering fine tannins on the finish.
Comparable to the 2014 and 2017 vintages (in both structure and flavour), we expect the 2019 to develop in bottle. Age comfortably for 7-10 years.
Aged 16-18 months in French oak (20-25%) new.
