This Kuhlmann is a delightful, easy-drinking red that combines the best of bright fruit and subtle complexity. With vibrant notes of cherry, raspberry, and a touch of black pepper, this wine is light-bodied yet full of character. Its smooth tannins and fresh acidity make it a versatile option for a variety of occasions, from casual gatherings to intimate dinners.
Entirely estate grown, hand-picked and fermented with wild yeast.
Kuhlmann is 100% grown at The Roost and has become a favourite in the vineyard, winery and tasting room. This cold-climate variety is perfectlly adapted to conditions at The Roost; it can survive our winter lows of -30C, is resistant to diseases, and the ripens quickly with big black berry flavours, a deep colour and soft tannins.
Pairing: Enjoy Kuhlmann with grilled vegetables, seared tuna, or a fresh goat cheese salad. It also pairs wonderfully with a wide range of pasta dishes, especially those with tomato-based sauces or light pesto.
