Description from the Producer
Release: 2024 Overtime Sauvignon Blanc Wine: 100% Sauvignon Blanc Winemaking Notes: The 2024 vintage delivered near perfect conditions for cool climate Sauvignon Blanc. Warm, relatively dry summer months balanced sunshine and cloud cover beautifully, while cool September nights helped the fruit achieve ideal ripeness without sacrificing freshness and acidity. Grapes were carefully harvested and rushed from vine to press within hours to preserve purity and vibrancy. Long, cool fermentation protected the delicate aromatics of the fruit and terroir, while sixteen months of ageing in older French oak barrels added texture and subtle layers of complexity without overpowering the varietal character. This wine bursts from the glass with aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, fresh melon, and hints of spice. On the palate, notes of grapefruit, gooseberry, and crisp apple are balanced by mineral undertones and a gentle touch of creaminess from oak aging. Bright acidity carries through the long finish, leaving lingering impressions of citrus and soft spice. Enjoy it well chilled for a vibrant, refreshing experience, or allow it to warm slightly in the glass to reveal its full depth and character. Delicious now, with the potential to cellar gracefully for up to six years. Pair It With: Roasted herb poultry, creamy pasta dishes, mushroom risotto and charcuterie boards. Alcohol by Volume : 13.3% Total Reducing Sugars: 1.0 g/L Brix Level: 21.1 ° Vineyard: Neufeld Farm
