Tasting Notes

Color: Light straw
Nose: White flower, honey-crisp apple
Palate: Jasmine, lime, mineral, light body, dry

Food Pairings: Beet carpaccio, beef curry, halibut with orange-miso sauce.

Winemaking

The 100% Riesling grapes from The View vineyards in East Kelowna were hand sorted and whole bunch pressed. The bunches came in small and tight. They were fermented in two different tanks at different temperatures with different yeast strains for complexity. One wine was fermented dry while the other wines’ fermentation was stopped leaving some residual sugar which was then blended to balance the sweetness and acidity.

I am loving these Chronos wines from TIME Family of wines. They are so bright, clean and fresh. Chronos Riesling 2020 is a light straw hue in the glass, fragrant with fresh white florals, honey-crisp apple and mineral notes on the nose. Dry, barely medium-bodied and zesty with lime-lemon zest, exotic white florals, softly spiced and finishing long with clean mineral flavours on the palate. A beautiful seafood wine, pair with pan-fried lemon-butter halibut. Tasted October 2021.
