Description from the Producer
Winemaker's Notes: The deep, mahogany shade is the first clue to what this burly red has in store. Earthy aromas of cedar, hickory and moss give way to fruitier cranberry, blackberry and spicy clove and cinnamon.
It's smooth and lithe with appley acidity, elevating husky, lasting flavours of blue and black berry fruits, vanilla, pepper and spice.
Dry: 1 g/L residual sugar.

Appearance: Deep purple. Nose: Spicy and aromatic, with black plum, truffle and tobacco leaf. Palate: Medium-bodied and dry, with well-extracted plum and blackberry flavours supported by cedary oak. Balancing acidity leads to a peppery finish.
Serve: 16–18 °C; a short decant can help bring out its savoury aromatics. Drinking window: now, or cellar 1–2 years.
Pairing: Slow-braised beef stew with mushrooms and thyme; wild mushroom crostini with caramelized onion; aged Cheddar with toasted walnuts; lentil and mushroom shepherd's pie; dark chocolate and blackberry tart.
