Description from the Producer
This single vineyard 2022 Riesling was produced from our “This is It” vineyard on Naramata road. The Riesling was handpicked and whole cluster pressed before being fermented in 100% stainless steel. When the Riesling hit 30g/L of residual sugar, the fermentation was stopped by cooling the wine down to 0 degrees, thus retaining the natural sugar in the juice, and keeping the wine sweet. Due to picking at very low brix, the Riesling retains its extreme acidity which balances out the residual sugar.
The 2022 Riesling has aromas of lime, pear, mango and floral notes of lilies. Flavors of green apple, citrus, peach and honey appear on the palate. Pair this wine with fried chicken, fish sauce chicken wings, pork schnitzel, bbq prawns, prawn laksa, thai beef salad and cheese like aged gouda, gorgonzola and parmesan.
