Description from the Producer
A few years back we got the opportunity to work with fruit from Dave MacMullen’s Vineyard around the corner from us on Closson Rd. So we gathered a crew and got to work! Unlike anything we have produced so far. This wine showcases the complexity that can be obtained from Frontenac Gris. Bright candied notes entwined with toasted hazelnut. The palate has high acidity, but layers of oxidative flavour. Sweet golden delicious, bright lemon acidity and a saline finish. Hand harvested over two seasons. The 2023 vintage was aged under flor in barrique for 18 months while the 2024 vintage was aged in pucheon under flor for 6 months prior to blending both in early 2025. Aged for a further 8 months prior to bottling. VQA Ontario VQA Cases Produced: 40 Grower: Dave MacMullen Harvested: September 2023 and 2024 Bottled: December 2025 Yields: Approx. 1.5 Tonnes/Acre Brix: 22 RS: <3g/L Alcohol: 12.7%
