Description from the Producer
This wine is a blend of Frontenac Gris, aged in neutral oak and Marquette, aged in stainless steel barrel. Frontenac Gris was hand harvested from our neighbour Dave’s vineyard in Hillier. Pressed whole cluster and then fermented and aged in neutral oak. The Marquette was harvested from certified organic vineyard Appletop in Thornbury. Fermented using carbonic maceration and then aged in stainless steel barrel for 8 months prior to blending. This wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with a minimal addition of sulphur. Bright and fruity, notes of dusted strawberries, a hint of lemon and a juicy flavour of swedish berries. This rose has a beautiful strong acidity that makes it refreshing. Cases Produced: 65 Growers: Dave McMillan, Chris Johnson Harvested: September 25 - October 5, 2024 Yields: Approx. 2 Tonnes/Acre Brix: 21.5 RS: 1.7g/L Alcohol: 11.4%
