Sourced from some of our favorite vineyards near Osoyoos, this Cabernet Franc and Merlot blend is one of our “go-to” reds. Easy drinking tannins frame the rich berry and cocoa notes on the palate.

Tasting Notes: A rich, but medium bodied red wine that is made to drink immediately and over the next 5 years. Look for notes of black cherry, blackberry, and plum with hints of wild sage, earth notes, and a spicy finish.

Food Pairings: Serve with red meat dishes and Italian fare such as pizzas and pasta with tomato sauce.

Tasting Notes

The 2016 vintage was a featured wine in May's Wine Club package, 2018.


Geographical Indication:  Penticton, BC

Varietal:  Cabernet Franc (62%), Merlot (38%)

Vineyard:  Desert Valley Vineyard

Cases Produced:  800


Appearance:  Bright. Semi-opaque. Dark ruby core, maroon rim.

Nose:  Medium+ aromatic intensity. Black cherry, blackberry, licorice, leather, black pepper, menthol.

Palate:  Medium acid, medium tannin, medium body. Black cherry, cinnamon, sweet tobacco, baking spice, black pepper.

Quality:  Excellent quality. Could age another 3 years, but it’s drinking nicely now. A bold, deep wine that balances fruit and complexity perfectly. Stiffer tannins than expected, but not overwhelmingly so.

Food Pairing:  Braised lamb shanks and garlic mashed potatoes, spaghetti with meatballs, roast beef with spicy horseradish sauce and root vegetables, veal chops with mushroom gravy, sausages and onions.
