This wine sets aside the old standards of a Bordeaux blend, opting instead for an exclusive session of the best available players. Inspired by the moment, Merlot bass notes and the studied consistency of fourteen months of Oak are influenced by others to sound out a harmony of cherry and fine tobacco. Every year the band produces a fresh version of this wine creating combos inspired by the vibes of that year’s vines.

Nose: Cedary, lightly smoky, herbal, blackberry nose.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied, dry, savoury blackberry flavour, firmly structured with ripe tannins and lively acidity.
Quality: Very Good+ quality. 89 points. Hold (short term) for 1-2 years.

Located in Penticton, BC, Play Estate Winery pays dramatic homage to the art of performance by naming many of its wines after an aspect of the theatre. Their 14-acre vineyard produces a gorgeous, premium portfolio of bright white wines and rich reds, with some refreshing rosé for good measure.
