This Estate Chardonnay was made from hand-harvested grapes from our estate vineyards: Robyn’s Block, David’s Block and Hillside, all farmed organically and biodynamically. This marriage of the different terroirs results in a wine of great complexity and balance. This wine was barrel-fermented and aged 12 months in French oak, followed by six months in stainless steel tanks. The Estate Chardonnay is a medium- bodied wine, with a perfect balance of fruit and structure. It is a layered wine with crisp notes of apple, grapefruit rind and a hit of spice.
While perfectly suited to being sipped on its own, the Estate Chardonnay has an amazing array of food pairing possibilities. Pasta in cream sauce, roast chicken or grilled pork tenderloin would all be great choices to experience the versatility of this well-made Chardonnay!

Very pretty in its reticence, Not surprised that this is Tawse as it shows winemaker Paul Pender's penchant for structure over fruit. Great phenolic grip, brimming with jumpy acid, and just a delicate plushness underneath. A wine to drink with oysters.
