Established in 1959, Covert Farms Family Estate Winery is located in Oliver, BC on 650 acres of benchland. Winemaker Gene Covert is a 3rd generation farmer who worked this land with his father and grandfather.

Their certified organic estate vineyards are influenced by the majestic McIntyre Bluff and managed with biodynamic practices. Their organically-grown wine portfolio includes Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Reserve, Zinfandel Grand Reserve and Pinot Noir Grand Reserve, as well as their iconic proprietary red blend, Amicitia. New this year, their Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon, Pinot Blanc, Rosé and Ancestral method Sparkling Pinot Noir and Zinfandel wines are now certified organic!

They craft their estate wines with minimal intervention, using natural fermentation when possible to focus on vineyard and fruit. The white wines display a purity of fruit and crisp natural acidity coveted by enthusiasts, and farming with low yields results in terroir-focused artisan reds that are luscious and age-worthy.

The story behind Covert Farms

Covert Farms has worked this land at the foot of McIntyre Bluff, near Oliver, since 1959, when George Covert came up from California to farm the bench. Three generations on, Gene Covert runs it with his family.

It is a big property, hundreds of acres, and it has become one of the South Okanagan's landmark organic estates.

Organic, regenerative, all estate

Every wine comes from the family's own certified-organic vineyards, farmed with regenerative and biodynamic methods and made with minimal intervention. The wines are also Salmon-Safe and vegan.

The flagship is Amicitia, a proprietary red blend, backed by a set of Grand Reserve single varietals. There is even an ancestral-method sparkling Zinfandel, which is about as rare as BC wine gets.
