Covert Farms Family Estate sits on 650 acres of benchland at Oliver, under McIntyre Bluff.
Gene Covert is the third generation to farm it, and the vineyards are certified organic and worked biodynamically. The reds run to Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Pinot Noir, plus a blend called Amicitia. Zinfandel is a genuine rarity in this country. Whites and an ancestral-method sparkling fill out the rest.
Covert Farms has worked this land at the foot of McIntyre Bluff, near Oliver, since 1959, when George Covert came up from California to farm the bench. Three generations on, Gene Covert runs it with his family.
It is a big property, hundreds of acres, and it has become one of the South Okanagan's landmark organic estates.

Every wine comes from the family's own certified-organic vineyards, farmed with regenerative and biodynamic methods and made with minimal intervention. The wines are also Salmon-Safe and vegan.
The flagship is Amicitia, a proprietary red blend, backed by a set of Grand Reserve single varietals. There is even an ancestral-method sparkling Zinfandel, which is about as rare as BC wine gets.
