My Wine Canada Wine Club Feature: Tinhorn Creek Vineyards

We hope 2024 is off to a great start for everyone! We're kicking off the new year with a spectacular January feature: Tinhorn Creek Vineyards. This B.C. winery is known for their classic South Okanagan terroir-driven wines and their leadership as the first carbon-neutral winery in Canada.

Sign up for the wine club today to receive a stunning assortment of Okanagan wine conveniently delivered to your doorstep.

The Oldfield and Shaunessy families started Tinhorn Creek in 1993 with a couple acres of vines and a few barrels. They quickly grew into one of B.C.'s top wineries and now have 150-acres of land under vine in the famed Golden Mile and Black Sage benches. Today, Argentinean winemaker, Leandro Nosal, is the talent behind Tinhorn Creek's distinguished lineup. Combining his wealth of international experience and dedication to sustainable, low-intervention winemaking, Nosal brings out the best aspects of the South Okanagan terroir in each bottle.

Take a look at a few of the exceptional wines that are included in our January Wine Club boxes.

2022 Gewürztraminer

An outstanding wine with notes of cardamom, lychee, and grapefruit. Rated 92 points by wine expert, Tony Aspler. Enjoy it with Middle Eastern rice pilaf with pomegranate seeds or grilled shrimp with oregano and lemon.

2022 Chardonnay

Full-bodied and well-balanced, this 92-point chardonnay has sumptuous notes of baked apple, tangerine, and caramel on the palate. Pairs well with spinach-artichoke flatbread or skillet chicken with a creamy tomato sauce.

2021 Cabernet Franc

This robust cabernet franc has a cassis and cedar bouquet that leads into flavours of red cherry, plum, and green vegetal notes. Try it with bacon-wrapped pesto pork tenderloin or fried tofu with spicy ginger-sesame sauce.

2021 The Creek

 2021 The Creek

A wine club exclusive, this is a savoury red blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, syrah, petit verdot, and malbec. Notes of blackberry, licorice, savoury green herbs, and black pepper dance on the nose and palate and the mouthfeel is rich and velvety. Pair this with flank steak with chimichurri or chipotle-roasted cauliflower tacos.

Join the Wine Club by January 15th to enjoy this refined selection of B.C. wine.
