Everything starts in the vineyard at Stratus, hand-tending and hand-picking the 16 grape varietals under vine to create spectacular wines. Founding winemaker and wine industry trailblazer, J-L Groux, was trained in Burgundy and Bordeaux and brought his passion for the art of assemblage — combining different grape varietals to create a unique, harmonious wine — to Stratus. This creative process involves selecting the best barrels of each varietal and perfecting the blend through many tasting trials and blending sessions. Stratus' hallmark red and white blends and striking single varietals offer powerful aromatics, a round mouthfeel, complexity, and aging potential; elements that showcase the team's precision winemaking and commitment to quality from vine to bottle.

This sumptuous chardonnay is medium-bodied with complex notes of apple, lemon zest, and hazelnut. Rated 92 points by wine expert, Tony Aspler, this wine pairs well with tilapia with pesto and spinach or chicken Milanese.
An outstanding, 91-point white with subtle toast aromas that lead into flavours of pear and lemon with a crisp finish. This well-balanced wine can be enjoyed alongside spinach and artichoke dip with baked pita or citrusy shrimp ceviche.
This bold red has engaging notes of black cherry, savoury green herbs, baking spice, and hints of black pepper. We recommend trying this wine with lamb curry or spanakopita.
Stratus' signature red is a remarkable blend of cabernet franc, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, tannat, syrah, and malbec. Rated a whopping 93 – 95 points by Tony Aspler, this opulent wine has a cedary nose leading to plum, blackcurrant, and a hint of spice on the palate. Pair it with smoked pork roast or fried wild mushrooms with parmesan.
