Vins Daydreamer

The story behind Daydreamer

Daydreamer is the small Naramata Bench winery of Marcus and Rachel Ansems, started in 2013. Marcus grew up around his family's vineyard in Australia and studied wine science in Adelaide before making wine across several countries.

In 2015 he earned the title of Master of Wine, one of only a handful in Canada to hold it. The playful name hides a serious pedigree.

A Master of Wine at work

Marcus Ansems makes wine in small lots, farming without systemic sprays and keeping a light touch in the cellar. The everyday Daydreamer range covers Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Syrah.

Above it sits a reserve tier under his own name, Marcus Ansems, made only in strong vintages from the best fruit. His Syrah took platinum at the 2018 National Wine Awards of Canada.
