Le domaine viticole Lunessence est un domaine viticole certifié biologique situé à Summerland. Nous sommes engagés dans une viticulture durable et, en tant que gardiens de la Société pour l'habitat faunique de l'Okanagan/Similkameen, nous préservons l'écosystème viticole qui nous entoure.

En mettant l'accent sur les produits biologiques et les mises en bouteille de vignobles uniques, nous commençons à peine à réaliser ce que notre site unique au pied de la montagne Giants Head est capable de produire.

Les cépages de climat frais comme le riesling, le chardonnay et le pinot noir s'avèrent parfaitement adaptés à cette région, avec leur acidité remarquable et leurs saveurs mûres. Nous bénéficions également d'un magnifique emplacement, avec vue à l'est sur le lac et Naramata, et d'une terrasse de dégustation pour en profiter pleinement autour d'une bouteille de vin et d'une assiette de charcuterie.

The story behind Lunessence

Lunessence took root in Summerland when Zhizhong Si bought the vineyard in 2014 and opened the winery a year later. The name joins luna, the Latin word for moon, with essence.

The moon is not just branding here. The team farms by the lunar calendar, timing vineyard and cellar work to its phases.

By the moon, and to music

Lunessence is certified organic and leans toward biodynamic thinking, with the lunar calendar guiding the work. There is one more quirk: classical music plays in the vineyard and the cellar, on the belief it helps the wines find their balance.

The wines themselves are mostly aromatic whites and blends, often off-dry. The Quartet, a blend of four aromatic grapes, is a good showcase of the house style.
