Domaine viticole Tender Hope

The story behind Tender Hope

Tender Hope is a small West Kelowna winery started in 2016 by Efi Perel, who was born in Israel and fell for wine while living in Spain. He worked years in Okanagan cellars before striking out on his own.

The name is personal. It is the meaning of his daughter's name, Rou Xi, carried onto the label.

Old-world hands, Okanagan fruit

Perel makes wine in a small, urban setting, working in an old-world, minimal-intervention way that leans on patience and natural ageing. He draws fruit from a handful of vineyards across the Okanagan, choosing them block by block.

The range covers Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah, each made in modest lots. Everything passes through one set of hands, from the sourcing to the bottle.
