Fondé en 2013 par un vigneron chevronné issu d'une famille profondément ancrée dans la culture et l'histoire, City Side Winery est l'aboutissement de nombreuses années d'expertise internationale en vinification, viticulture et hôtellerie. The story behind City Side Winery

City Side is an urban winery, which means it makes wine in the city rather than out among the vines. Homan Haftbaradaran, who trained in Europe and made wine in Washington State, started it in the Vancouver area to bring winemaking closer to town.

It has since moved to a larger production home in Surrey, in the Fraser Valley.

Okanagan fruit, made in the city

There is no estate vineyard here. City Side trucks in grapes from top Okanagan sites, from West Kelowna to the Similkameen, and vinifies them in an urban winery. The idea is to make good BC wine feel a little less far away.

The wines carry names like Mystic Pearl and Cascadiana, made hands-on by the founder. It is one of the few urban wineries in the Vancouver area.
