The story behind Winemaker's CUT

Winemaker's CUT is the work of Michal and Martina Mosny, who ran a small winery in Slovakia before moving to the Okanagan in 2011. They started the label a few years later, working out of a vineyard south of Oliver.

It is a small, hands-on operation, built around one grower's eye for detail. The name says it plainly: this is the winemaker's own cut.

Small batches, one careful hand

The Mosnys farm without pesticides and work in small blocks, blending by taste rather than formula. Syrah is the wine that turns heads, dark and savoury off the warm South Okanagan bench.

There is a quirk here too: classical music plays in the vineyard and the cellar, an idea they carried from Europe. The 2022 Syrah was named a top red at a recent BC wine competition.
