Perched on a gently rolling slope studded with vines, Flat Rock Cellars has been crafting award-winning wines for over 20 years. The topography, which is similar to that of Burgundy, France, determines the amount of sunlight the grapes receive. More sunlight on the vines leads to greater ripeness in the grapes which contributes to optimal sugar levels in the wine. Flat Rock's vineyards are made up of 80 acres of chardonnay, pinot noir, riesling, and a small patch of gewürztraminer which all thrive in the cooler climate of the Niagara Peninsula. Their objective is simple: to craft great wine — and their wine strategy has been carefully thought out to ensure their wine achieves maximum potential. Flat Rock has an impressive wine portfolio that includes old favourites, like The Rusty Shed Chardonnay and Twisted series, and new advancements such as their first ever sauvignon blanc (and, wow, is it ever a winner). To top it all off, Flat Rock Cellars is a certified sustainable winery — a designation given to only 13 Ontario wineries to date.

An outstanding, medium-bodied sauvignon blanc with tropical fruit (think guava, lychee, and passion fruit), grapefruit, and lime on the palate. A great match with fish tacos and fruit salsa or cream cheese pinwheels.
2020 The Rusty Shed Chardonnay
A beautifully balanced chardonnay that was awarded 91 points by wine expert, Tony Aspler. Enjoy toasty notes of apple, citrus, and spice. Pair with Alaska sushi rolls or ravioli with white beans and sun-dried tomatoes, or save and drink through 2023-2024.
A light-bodied and easy-drinking, Beaujolais Nouveau-style red with notes of red plum and spice. Chill lightly. Enjoy alongside spinach and olive spanakopitas or roasted turkey with chestnut stuffing.
A rich blend of gamay, merlot, and a splash of pinot noir with notes of raspberry, licorice, black tea, and black pepper. Excellent with grilled salmon on a bed of roasted kale, portobello mushroom burgers, or orange-braised pulled pork tacos.
