Moon Curser Vineyards est un petit domaine viticole familial situé sur la rive est d'Osoyoos, en Colombie-Britannique. En activité depuis 2004, le nom Moon Curser rend hommage à l'histoire de la contrebande d'or d'Osoyoos. Les vins Moon Curser, cependant, rompent avec la tradition : le domaine a toujours mis l'accent sur la production de vins haut de gamme à partir de cépages anciens, jamais plantés auparavant dans l'Okanagan, comme le Tannat, le Dolcetto et le Touriga Nacional. The story behind Moon Curser

Moon Curser sits above Osoyoos, near the US border, and it takes its name from the gold smugglers who once crossed here at night and cursed the moon when it lit them up. Beata and Chris Tolley started it in 2006, first as Twisted Tree, then reborn under the smuggler theme.

The winery changed hands in 2024, passing to a local grape-growing family, with the winemaking carrying on unchanged.

Rare grapes, on purpose

Moon Curser made its name planting grapes almost nobody else in the Okanagan would touch, from Touriga Nacional and Carmenere to the Italian white Arneis. The whole idea is to smuggle in varieties the valley had not tried.

The flagship is Dead of Night, a dark, structured red built from the best barrels each year. That single-minded focus on the unusual has put Moon Curser among the country's most decorated small wineries.
